Pancake Breakfast:  The 17th annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will be held in Fellowship Hall Saturday, May 18th from 8:00 until 10:00 in conjunction with Westford's Apple Blossom Festival.  Please reserve this date and join the fun as we serve several hundred breakfasts to a hungry crowd!  We need lots of volunteer help to put on this event and newcomers and teenagers are especially encouraged to pitch in.  If you are interested in helping please contact the church office.  

Music Sunday:  This year Music Sunday will explore the history of some of your favorite hymns.  Thanks to all who contributed titles.  I will endeavor to include as many as possible, some as service music (anthem, call to worship, prayer response), others as congregational hymns.  Please contact me if you want to participate with the choir that day.  I hope everyone will enjoy this educational musical program.

Lowell Transitional Living Center:  Interested in community service?  First Parish Church United assists in serving meals the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Lowell Transitional Living Center(LTLC) located at 189 Middlesex Street in Lowell, MA.  LTLC is a community supported, non-profit organization that provides a safe, temporary shelter for homeless men and women in the Greater Lowell area. This is a great volunteer activity to do as a family. Each month we need between 5-8 people to arrive at the shelter by 5:20 to begin rolling silverware, setting out the salt, pepper and butter and pour drinks. Then we serve the meals. We are usually done by 6:45. Many times people will meet at the church at 4:50 and carpool to the shelter together.  Due to new regulations and security measures put into place by the LTLC, we are now allowing children to volunteer. Those under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Youth between the ages of 15-18 who would like to volunteer without a parent will need to fill out a one-time permission form that will be valid for the school year.  Please consider signing up for a Wednesday date:  May 22nd; June 26th.  If you are interested in serving, please contact Linda Marple at 978-392-0871 or at ltmarple@comcast.net.
